Strip and seal is the process of taking off the old existing sealer on vinyl flooring and applying fresh new coats. It's the method used for stripping away the coats of grime, cleaning film, or worn sealant off your flooring and resealing the surface.
First we apply a commercial grade floor stripper, and let it do its work.
Once that has been left, we use an abrasive scrubbing pad to loosen all of the material before extracting it.
Once all the finish and stripper is off, we clean the original surface and dry it completely.
We generally put on 2-3 layers of floor finish. If it’s a high-traffic area we often apply 3-4 layers. The finish is dry in about 30 minutes and ready for foot traffic.
Using a wet buff, we shine the floor, giving it that “like new” look and feel.
Have a good look at your vinyl flooring, if you can see scratches and a dull, faded finish, then it's time to take off the old finish and apply a new layer of floor sealer. A dirty, peeling floor gives the immediate impression that the rest of your facility is dirty. Strip and seal is a straightforward process and will immediately enhance the appearance of your floors.
